In a unexpected partnership that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "An unusual encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden practices and terrifying transformations reverberate through the darkness." The plot features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret sect.

The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an unique katana alongside multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
